St. Mark's Library
St. Mark's Church Library, which is located in the church offices,
is now open whenever the office is open. The Library contains about
1500 books, mostly on religious subjects. The books are cataloged
classified, and arranged on the shelves according to the Dewey
Decimal Library classification system.
You can browse the Library and borrow any book (except for
some Reference books, which are so marked.)
Borrowing is simple and does not require the Librarian to be
present. You write your name on the card which is found in the back
every book and leave the card in the basket. Instructions are
provided.
Bring the book back when you are finished with it. There are
no fines.
If you are looking for a specific book you can see if the Library
has it by accessing the catalog through the computer in the
Library. Instructions are provided for using the computer and
the catalog. You can locate a book by author, title, or subject. If you
have any suggestions for books which could be added to the Library,
please leave a note for the librarian.
If you have any suitable books which you would like to give to the
Library, please leave them in the box provided for them.
The Librarian, Graham Jacks, plans to be in the Library each
Sunday between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., and will be happy to
meet you then and discuss anything relating to the Library.
